Release Date For Sacred 3.

What is the release date, and how long will it take to make the game?

I hope DS looks at the game play for sacred 2, because that game on xbox
was garbage.

Strange, Sacred 2 was great for me on my xbox except for a few bugs.
The character being "frozen" and unable to move unless you teleport yourself, unsolvable, just delete and start again.
"Save game manipulation bug" making offline trading impossible, unsolvable, just delete and start again.

I would guess the game will be released in about 1,5-2 years, maybe a bit less, maybe a bit more
If we go by "standard development time" a game needs a full 3 years from beginning to end, and since Sacred 3 was announced last year I would guess around 2 more years development time.
Though, a good engine, big/experienced crew and such can shorten the development time. What problems did you have that ruined your xbox-experience?

A). No release date has been announced. In fact, Deepsilver don't seem to communicate much at all..................

B). I totally agree, S2 on the Xbox 360 was garbage. In fact, I wouldn't be that polite ! The game was unplayable. How can you play a game of this type when all the text is so small that you can't read it !?!? How can you do quests, look at items...........do anything when you just can't read it, even when you sit inches from the screen. It is not bad on the pc, but a waste of time on the xbox. What amazed me, is when I posted the problem here, people said it must be my tv ! Geez, I played dozens of games for the Xbox on that tv, all of them with no problem whatsoever, and all of a sudden, it's the tv's fault that S2 is too tiny to play, good grief.

I think that is due to the resolution S2 runs in Steve. It is one of the few games that runs in 1920x1080 but i guess the downside to that is the UI is to small to read.

The PC version has UI scaling but it does make things a bit blurry.

AS for the release date, it's done when it's done. We haven't heard anything for many months now

Hi there Dobs mate.

Yeah, DS have been very quiet indeed. I honestly thought they would make more effort to reach out to the gamers. Even if there is no news, they could do something , anything just to keep us on board !

I am almost ABSOLUTELY certain they are waiting for a release date from Blizzard on Diablo 3. They will make a competitive release of S3 either prior to or shortly after D3's release to try and grab a huge portion of ARPG players. Studio II's devs (some in which I hear are with DS nowadays) work much more promptly than Blizzard's and I hope Diablo 3's birth will in turn bring good news for the Sacred community with regards to a possible launch date.

I rather not hear of a release date which would get people's hopes up and create expectations resulting in added pressure on the developers to pre-maturely release the game ala S2. S2 out of the box was full of bugs. I don't want another experience like that. They should take a page from Blizzard and release a game with minimal bugs.
