Best High Elf!

I just bought Sacred 2: Fallen Angel two days ago and I don't really understand how everything works or even how to access everything. I need help getting a good offline High Elf for now until I get faster internet for online play. I would like for the build to work well in online mode as well.

Can anyone straight out tell me: PS3 High Elf

The best god to have?

The best armor to use?
Best rune(s) to add?

The best weapon to use?
Best rune(s) to add?

The best combat arts to use?

The best character skills to use?

The best distribution of character attributes?

And if theres another aspect i'm forgetting please tell me the best of that to use.

Hi Sapient,

I play a pyro HE, also on PS3. She's a real fun character to play, although I must admit I'm a bit tired of hearing about her 5-year plan .

I suggest that you start out in bronze and then make the transition to silver around character lvl 15.

3. Pyro Focus - once bargaining is at 20, keep at character lvl.
4. Armor Lore - add 20 pts. for defence, then leave it for later.
5. Concentration - to enable 2 buffs. No skill points needed till later.
6. Arcane Focus - At least add enough points to modify Grand Invigoration.
7. Constitution - increases hp. Add 2 pts. every lvl until it's mastered.
8. Shield Lore - add 20 pts. for defence, then leave it for later.
9. Ancient Magic - once the pyro skills and constitution have been mastered, this should be next.
10. Arcane Lore - This will increase the hp regen from Grand Invigoration and boost CA dmg for this aspect.

Why 20 skill points all the time? Because that's the point of diminishing returns.

Quote:
The best distribution of character attributes?
Stamina - 10% - add points here early on to reduce the regen time of you CA's.
Vitality - 20 % - add points here every now and then to increase your hitpoints.
Intelligence - 70% - this will increase the dmg of your CA's, so put most of your attribute points here.

Quote:
The best combat arts to use?
Incandescent Skin (Buff) - Significantly increases defence and boosts fire dmg.
(Combusting Arrows, Revenge, Fiery Ardor)
Blazing Tempest - DoT mob killer.
(Scorch, Spell Flow, Ambition)
Grand Invigoration (Buff) - Reduces regen time of pyro aspect and provides hp regeneration.
(Pyro Expertise, Life Energy, Resilience)

Incindiary Shower - Boss killer.
(Magma Rain, Smoking Rock, Devastation)
Ancestral Fireball - Ranged attack.
(Explosion, Globe, Hot Pursuit)
Shadow Step - Defensive CA and AoE mob killer.
(Phase Shift, Vanish, Explosion)
Expulse Magic - Defensive CA that fears away opponents if you get overwhelmed.
(Expansion, Pentagram, Protection)

Don't blindly read new runes. If your CA lvl is too high lvl, you'll have a penalty on it (you'll know when a decimal point appears on your CA lvl). The exeption to this is Grand Invigoration, where you can read as many runes as you like, with no downside.

The best armor to use?
If you invest heavily into Bargaining early on (20 hard skill points before character lvl 15) then you should be able to find some nice gear from the merchants*. This will take care of your equipment needs until you're able to find some Set Items.

* Equip relics/gear with + Bargaining skill for added effect.

The best weapon to use?
Since you'll be boosting the intelligence attribute, and you have shield lore, you'll want to use a one-handed mage staff with a shield (put them in the same slot to equip them simultaneously).

The best god to have?
Whatever you do, don't choose Ker.
I always get Kybele or Kuan, but the divine gift is rarely use, so it doesn't matter which one really.

This is probably the easiest HE build to play, but there are other great builds such as the ice elf or melee/magic coup elf. The most important thing is that you have fun playing with your character.

Does it matter what order you buy them in?

For bargaining to work properly, it needs to be 2x character lvl. So, to get the full effect, you need to plan carefully how to use your skill points early on.

Add 5 pts. into Pyro Focus (to unlock Pyro Lore) and all remaining points should be put into Bargaining until you reach character lvl 15. If you have enough items with + Bargaining, it will be 2x character lvl or at least close to it. Most people that use Bargaining will tell you that you should continue to keep it at 2x (or even 3x) character lvl. I don't, but it's up to you to decide how many skill points to put into it.

Other than that, no... the order is not that important.

Bargaining and Set Items

I have level 21(17+4) bargaining at lvl 17. Could anyone tell me the best shops to try to get good pyro HE gear from?

Can anyone tell me the best places to farm for unique items, set items, legendary items, and just plain gold? I got my fire mount if that helps.

Please keep in mind that I don't have any of the Sacred 2 PS3 system updates, because I do not have the internet connection for it.

There're no best place to buy items ; all marchants offer a random choice of goods.

however , u can reset some of those quickly :

one example : go to thylysium , the N-E marchant is near the sewers , once you browsed it's good , go in the sewers and go out , it should reset it's offer. There's a runes trader close by aswell , he's offering jewels.

mounts don't help to get more / better items.

Items are dropped randomly , howewer bosses & mini - bosses (thoses not related to the main story line) can drop , more often. The skill enhanced perceptions could help a lot (but u didn't take it) . Wild Animals don't drop items (rats, wolves ; boars). Scarabs drops a good amount of gold (in the desert) , but u get lesser exp.

For legendaries , well , u wont see a lot (except those given at the end of very few quests). The best way to find those is to have enhanced perceptions and / or to be at high lvl.

What ways are there to upgrade your CAs? Such as Incandescent Skin. How do you get enough points to get Combusting Arrows, Revenge, and Fiery Ardor? Adding points to the pyro lore and pyro focus are 2 ways, anymore?

P.S What do books do?

Undead Legion, Empty Office and your class quest gives a legendary as a reward.

Pyro Lore & Focus are the only way to get mod points for that aspect.

I have most of those qusts done. I must have sold the legendaries can i wore better or something. Is there a way to tell if a item is legendary besides an orange name? cause i use items that the names look orange all over the place but I think those are just unwearables.

On PS3, legendaries have 4 stars and uniques have 3 stars.

Btw, there's an option where you can select not to pick up any items that don't have a star. Even garbage items give you a little gold, but I like selecting this option anyway, since it saves time and the inventory is less likely to get filled up.

The Legendary Pirate Treasure is one. Instructions Here.

The Orc Cave is another. (Warning: Extremely Difficult.)

As long as you don't open any chests or crates inside, the orc champions will respawn once you exit and re-enter the cave.

Also, each region has a hidden miniboss. You can see where they are located on this Map of Ancaria
(The exclamation points are employees from the quest Something Wonderful)

Yet another area is the south-eastern corner of the swamps.

This area has a crazy spawn rate. Just follow the mountains until you reach the watery areas, then teleport back to the town and repeat.

Hey Sidious, how do you turn that feature on? Nevermind found that one. If you set it to unique does it only pick up unique or unique and legendary? Also, what do set items fall under?

Could you tell me what books do? Are they harmful to the character build?

Also, should I read anymore of the pyro runes(besides the fire demon, I know not to read those).
