Hi Sapient,
I play a pyro HE, also on PS3. She's a real fun character to play, although I must admit I'm a bit tired of hearing about her 5-year plan

.
I suggest that you start out in bronze and then make the transition to silver around character lvl 15.

1. Pyro Lore - once bargaining is at 20, keep at character lvl.
2. Bargaining - add 20 pts. early on, then leave it for later.
3. Pyro Focus - once bargaining is at 20, keep at character lvl.
4. Armor Lore - add 20 pts. for defence, then leave it for later.
5. Concentration - to enable 2 buffs. No skill points needed till later.
6. Arcane Focus - At least add enough points to modify Grand Invigoration.
7. Constitution - increases hp. Add 2 pts. every lvl until it's mastered.
8. Shield Lore - add 20 pts. for defence, then leave it for later.
9. Ancient Magic - once the pyro skills and constitution have been mastered, this should be next.
10. Arcane Lore - This will increase the hp regen from Grand Invigoration and boost CA dmg for this aspect.
Why 20 skill points all the time? Because that's the point of diminishing returns.

The best distribution of character attributes?
|
Stamina - 10% - add points here early on to reduce the regen time of you CA's.
Vitality - 20 % - add points here every now and then to increase your hitpoints.
Intelligence - 70% - this will increase the dmg of your CA's, so put most of your attribute points here.

The best combat arts to use?
|
Incandescent Skin (Buff) - Significantly increases defence and boosts fire dmg.
(Combusting Arrows, Revenge, Fiery Ardor)
Blazing Tempest - DoT mob killer.
(Scorch, Spell Flow, Ambition)
Grand Invigoration (Buff) - Reduces regen time of pyro aspect and provides hp regeneration.
(Pyro Expertise, Life Energy, Resilience)
Incindiary Shower - Boss killer.
(Magma Rain, Smoking Rock, Devastation)
Ancestral Fireball - Ranged attack.
(Explosion, Globe, Hot Pursuit)
Shadow Step - Defensive CA and AoE mob killer.
(Phase Shift, Vanish, Explosion)
Expulse Magic - Defensive CA that fears away opponents if you get overwhelmed.
(Expansion, Pentagram, Protection)
Don't blindly read new runes. If your CA lvl is too high lvl, you'll have a penalty on it (you'll know when a decimal point appears on your CA lvl). The exeption to this is Grand Invigoration, where you can read as many runes as you like, with no downside.
If you invest heavily into Bargaining early on (20 hard skill points before character lvl 15) then you should be able to find some nice gear from the merchants*. This will take care of your equipment needs until you're able to find some
Set Items.
* Equip relics/gear with + Bargaining skill for added effect.
Since you'll be boosting the intelligence attribute, and you have shield lore, you'll want to use a one-handed mage staff with a shield (put them in the same slot to equip them simultaneously).
Whatever you do, don't choose Ker.
I always get Kybele or Kuan, but the divine gift is rarely use, so it doesn't matter which one really.
This is probably the easiest HE build to play, but there are other great builds such as the ice elf or melee/magic coup elf. The most important thing is that you have fun playing with your character.
