My guess is that they all met a Dragon suffering from a tooth ache; as each and every CM has gone up in smoke.

Yes, but TBH, there's not much to say at the moment other than "hi".

I'm sure there must be 'something' they can give us, no matter how small. Just to keep us interested.

At this point, I suspect we are all just here to chat with each other, not for the game. I'm not sure if that's good or bad.

If we weren't, this board had died a while ago. A large part of the "old gang" has disappeared, a large part of the newer members just post because they have technical problems with S2 and Win7 (and obviously fail to use the [search]-button), or because they hope to hear some news about S3.
None of the community managers posted more than a "hi" and disappeared again; they don't even post in the "fun-threads", though that might be the place to get to know them.
All in all I think there's just 2 dozen of members posting here at a regular basis. The rest is lurking or long gone.

I am reminded of a S2 grave inscription about DaGirl... something like she kept working on the post-death phase of S1. (Referencing things like exploring the Vampiress' Wolf Companion and other 'undiscovered' parts of the game).
1) S2 is out of market.
2) S3 is not yet developed.
imply
3) Nothing to post from the dev team.
Still looking forward to S3. Still playing S1 (right now SP).

Not as many as I first thought though - I've seen so many dear and familiar faces pop up lately!

Exactly! They pop up lately. Basicly it's been Stubbie, Dobs, Llama, Steve, DBM and myself that kept things alive here; along with some newer members like TornadoX1.
In general there have been more activity at the French part of this forum as at the international part. Hopefully that's going to change now we've some ladies here.

Ah, but he isn't a lady.
Perhaps a female bronto saurus, but certainly not a lady.
Although.....
If he talks just as much as he posts, he's female for sure.

I know I'm not one of the old gang. I joined around a year and a half after most of you. The guys 'n' gals that have been here since 2004 are the real heroes of the forum and deserve our respect.
Me ? I'm like the annoying younger brother who came along later !

or the search returns too much noise because "Sacred2" is in most threads and "Win7" is considered profanity (oh carp, now the keywords are in your post, too)
And in mine. Sorry. XD

Don't you mean older brother Steve?
I just can't wait for the first tiny bit of news that S3 has even started development but I guess we won't know anything until it's a lot further along. The Grim Dawn devs have paved the way by sharing development from a very early stage which helps build the community up. It's a shame DS probably won't/can't do the same. My biggest hope is that the devs forget S2 and make a true sequel to the first Sacred.
Or they could just make an HD remake of S1 and re-open the closed servers
