DW Voodoo Dryad

Welcome!

I was thinking about a Dryad... ...who has two sharpened swords in her arms to fight in the middle of a battle with her Moribund Animus pet. Yeah, it'd fit to me.

Is this possible, to make a DW Dryad with Voodoo?

My very first idea...

Skills:
Tactics Lore - high boost on damage, crit chance
Dual Wield - I have really no idea why do we need this skill for a DW Dryad...
Sword Lore - maybe useless... for unlocking sword modifiers
Voodoo Focus - boosting highest level for MA
Nature Focus - boosting highest level for AB
Hunter Focus - RI, DA rechare, boosting highest level for SP
Concentration for 3 buffs
Combat Reflex/Spell Resistance - unlocking Tier 2 skills
Armor Lore - somehow her majesty must be protected...
Constitution - hitpoints and regen...
Order can be changed... Order MUST be changed.

Attributes:
I'm going to play HC, so...
100% Vitality

Modifiers:

Ravaged Impact
1) Perforate - Chance to cause open wounds damage over time. (24.7% + 0.3% per CA level chance)
2) Breach - Chance that enemy armor value will be ignored, and that full damage will be inflicted. (20% + 0.5% per CA level chance)
3) Double Shot (if affects melee) - Two shots in quick succession. (+1 projectile, actually fires 3 projectiles with bow/blowtube)

Darting Assault
1) Reload - Increases the number of projectiles or hits. (+1 projectile)
2) Wounding - Chance that a successful hit will leave the opponent with an open wound (damage over time). (20% + 0.2% per CA level chance)
3) Rotate - The attack is directed at opponents all around the Dryad. (from 120 + 1 per CA level to 300 + 2 per CA level cone (?))

Sinister Predator
1) Eagle Eye - Increases the chance of critical hits. (9.9% + 0.1% per CA level chance)
2) I may be wrong, but neither affects melee
3) Hunting Focus - Decreases the regeneration time of the aspect Capricious Hunter. (30% + 1.5% per CA level decrease)

Moribund Animus
1) both good
2) Elevation - Inreases hirelings level. (50% increase)
3) Fury - Improves hirelings attack speed. (20% + 0.2% per CA level increase)

Ancient Bark
1) Slippery - Increases defense values. (20% + 5% per CA level increase)
note: take less damage, or take less hits
2) Divert - Chance to deflect close combat damage to the attacker. (20% + 2% per CA level chance)
3) Invigorate - Improved healing. (100% increase)

I am almost sure it won't work. I am planning to play on Niob... so I am waiting for better ideas, I hope you can see what kind of build I want.

Thanks for reading!

Sword skill is useless unless your using 2 handed swords..... Go hafted weapons with dual weild. (You do not need sword trained to be able to use a sword if im not mistaken)
Also, Spell Resistance is a waste imo make sure and go Combat Reflexes.
You might want nature lore or voodo lore to further lower the regen to those spells which will keep you alive and/or debuff critters/bosses. Ranged weapons(BLOWPIPE) is always nice to have to have for snipping. I shoot with the blowpipe until they are on me, then 1 hit with my melee weapon. One last thing, Pacifism - If you plan on PVPing online.
I guess its whatever fits your play style.

Thanks for answer.

"Sword skill is useless unless your using 2 handed swords....."
Yes, I knew that +attack value or +attack speed is NOT applied from Sword Lore if I Dual Wield, but the modifiers for swords are unlocked.
Quoting from Antitrust:
The skill bonuses don't stack with Dual Wield, but there are some very nice swords with unlockable bonuses that really shine when dual wielded (uniques and legendary). This can be left at a rather low level, letting +skill gear to do the work for you. - You can find it in his DW Shopper Sera guide.

"You might want nature lore or voodo lore to further lower the regen"
-Regeneration is always welcome, but correct me if I am not right... don't lores boost the damage for CAs, and focuses lower the regen?

I'll use Black curse for debuff at Voodoo aspect, that skill doesn't need a lore to be effective. The other skill is the buff, MA, and that one isn't affected by lore. So Voodoo is OK.

Hunter aspect has only a Focus... OK

It'd be really useful to take Nature Lore. Increases effectiveness of Ancient Bark, and GGT, and I could use the Acute Mind's huge int boost for 1 hit boss kills.

Your post is really useful, no offense, that's possible I am 100% wrong, but I had to correct you.

Only train in swords if you want to wield 2 handed swords(Which are usually slow). Besides that you only need dual wield which will let u wield anything that is 1 handed.

Cabalistic Voodoo Focus
Improves regeneration and raises max Combat Art level for this aspect.
Nature Weaver Focus
Improves regeneration and raises max Combat Art level for this aspect.

Get your GGT cooldown fast enough to be able to use it and its regen time is faster then the spell duration(While its healing, your cooldown is faster then the spell lasts)

Possibly, but you will be casting GGT and Acute mind alot so get Nature Lore to help.

Take "Marked Shot" for the SP buff. It does work with melee.

Mine has different skill choices but same theory basically.

Alkaia lvl 91 DW Nature/Vodoo Dryad US HC Closed

If it's all the same I'd rather not.

I don't post builds because it keeps people from thinking for themselves. That and this was a test build that has worked out well and is fun to play but by no means "the" way to do it.

What works for me or how I play the game may be fundamentally different than the way you play the game or want to. I'd hate to adversely effect your game play experience.
