I think I've fixed my s2render.dll crash problem.

Every time I ran Sacred 2, it would always inevitably crash with an error related to s2render.dll ... so I increased my virtual memory from 1500MB to 3000MB and then I thought to myself, 's2render.dll ... hmm, that must be what "renders" the stuff we see on screen right? So... maybe if it has less to render, the game won't crash.' Thus, I ran the game in Windowed Mode. And so far... no crashes! I know, I know, it's only a temporary solution until Ascaron finally fixes this **** problem... but it works!

There is no problem with Ascaron fixing this game for you. You are running it on a system that doesn't even meet the minimum specs!
Ia 1.73 Ghz Toshiba Satellite Notebook, equipped with a 256MB GeForce Go 7300 graphics chip and 1GB of RAM.

It's absolutely amazing that you even got it to run at all.

Well, it just goes to show you that there's life in this 'old' Toshiba yet! I'm actually quite surprised. The game runs well enough to be playable. Of course, if I'm in an area where there's lots of trees and such it does slow down, but... I'm quite surprised. I guess Asacron should redo the minimum system requirements for the game (on the back of the game case)! All I know is... when my super cyborg's on his awesome Monowheel Bike, nothing can stop him! He keeps rollin' rollin' rollin' rollin'...

"Minimum specs" is generally what they list for an "enjoyable" game, not the very bare minimum needed to even start it. How well the game plays depends on a number of different variables, such as drivers, ram (amount and speed), processor (and cache), video (and all its related bits including resolution), hard disk cache and fragmentation, running processes, bus speed, network (for multiplayer)... the list goes on.

(For the record, I once got Windows 98 to run on a 286-8 with a 20 megabyte hard drive and 512k of ram! That was so far below minimum specs it wasn't even funny (actually it was very funny, but you had to be there to see how slow it actually was). Good news was it could play Jill of the Jungle, get on the internet, send email, and add drum beats to guitar licks! Woot!)
