We got a break in the weather! No snow yesterday afternoon. A little rain,but not much.
Now Katie doesn't need water wings to get around her pen!
Highway 550 is closed due to avalanches,in southern Colorado. Several other passes are still open, but they (the road crews) are going in and setting off explossives to stop some avalanches.
Being in the Sherrifs' Posse, we get called to direct traffic at times.We were called out sseveral times this past week . A total of 21 'accidents' occured. All with no major injuries.

I know what you mean about shoveling snow. I moved from NW Montana in 1972 to get away from it. I guess I didn't move far enough south.

Plain cvold. Arctic freeze came in from Alaska last night. High today s/be 19 degrees, with up to 70 MPH winds later on.

Got 10-12" o snow on ground. Just heard on the TV, if this snow holds it will be the most snow at Christmas since 1861. Another big storm moveing in from Alaska tomorrow afternoon.

Tankers unable to deliver gas, and most gas stztions are out of gas.

But: People are at the Malls Power Shoppering. Go Figure.

Temps are in the low 40s to upper 30s. And, of course it's snowing , again.

If this keeps up we will have a white Christmas and birthday.

Snow has finally quit. We got about 8" total.

In northwest New Mexico it is unusual for us to have much snow. Our last white christmas was 11 years ago. Hopefully it will be another 11 years before we have this much snow again.

Roads in some areas are still snowpacked and icy, but are sanded.

Over here the weather was cold but pleasant until the 24th, when it started getting warm and rainy. It was a load of trouble driving in the rain from one party to another, but I was lucky and got home before the rain froze. It's been going from cold to above 0 and back since then, and now it's cloudy with light rain.

Strange here in sw England. I visited my brother and sister-in-law yesterday. When I left and went to my car ( around 20:00 ) the car was think with ice. I got up this morning expecting more of the same, but the car was clear, and that was around 05:30 !!! Oh well.

Temperature in mid 40's, We may go from major snow to useing rownoats with the flooding,
