Help with the Elements of Ancaria (all elements)...

The Elements of Ancaria:

There seems to be a lot of confusion and glitches related to this Main Quest so I will give you a brief overview...

This quests begins after speaking to the Seraphim Hologram in the Library at the Monastery of Icecreek Dale. The first element that you need to collect is the Element of Air which can be found in the "palace" that is just before the dragon Sisslith, Guardian of Frostgard. Sisslith will drop a portal rune that can be used in a small telepad just beyond where he was standing.

This portal will bring you to the desert of Urkuk, head directly West until you come to the ridge. Follow the ridge South until you find the path leading up to the volcano plains plateau. The quest flag will lead you to the underground city of Alkazaba noc Draco. After passing through the city, across some more volcano plains and into another cave you will find the dragon Sirithcam, the Fire Dragon who will drop another portal rune. Exit through the rear of the cave and you will find the Element of Fire on another section of volcano plains. Past the element will be another telepad.

This portal will bring you just beneath the city of Bravesbury. Now you will need to travel quite a long distance Northeast until you reach the Valley of Zhurag-Nar. Follow the quest flag and you will find the entrance to the large "abandoned" underground city of Gnarlstat. Make your way Northeast through the city by following the quest flag. When you are close to reaching the element you will run across Karissall, the Medusian Guard who will drop yet another portal rune, make sure to pick it up. At the very end you will find the Element of Earth and just beyond it will be another telepad.

This portal will bring you back to the entrance of Gnarlstat which it is now time to exit. Follow the quest flag south and you will find Loknar the Peat Cutter who is standing by the Fortress of Verag-Nar. The Fortress is where you will find the Element of Water but unfortunately it is under water so you can't enter it. Loknar will tell you about a dam switch which can be found back in Gnarlstat and he will give you a portal rune which will help you get there faster. The telepad can be found just a tad bit north of him. This portal will bring you to a back entrance of Gnarlstat where the mines are located. Follow the tracks in the mines until you reach a door to a second level (technically the third level since the part of Gnarlstat that you have already been is above you). Follow the quest flag south through this level and you will find the dam switch. Careful that you don't miss it since it is pretty hard to spot.... it will be JUST before the rear exit of this level. Click on the switch to activate the dam and exit through the rear exit.

Now go south an return to the Fortress of Verag-Nar which is now above the water and able to be entered. In the bottom floor of this very small fortress you will find the Element of Water. After getting the element go back the way you came to return to the Valley of Zhurag-Nar and head south to Mystdale Castle to meet Shareefa....

Above is the correct order of this series of main quests. There is a common glitch that will occur if you go to the wrong area or collect the elements out of order. This glitch will cause the quest flags to go all screwy which can be very confusing. If this happens the quest won't be ruined but you will have to find the way on your own without the aid of the quests flags. Once you are back on track the quest flags should then reset and become accurate once again so just follow the above guide to get yourself back on track.

The main lesson here is always pay attention to where the quest flags are leading you... because if you go off track it can get you all messed up

How to I get to the island near Silver Creek?

This little island is called Haven Isle... that is if you were playing Multi-player it would be... This is where your character starts out every time you enter a game in Multi-player and it has tons of portals to help you get around the world. However in Single Player you won't have the portals available to you so it is pretty much useless unless you really feel the need to access yet another Merchant, Combo Master or Blacksmith. If you still really want to reach in though follow these directions....

Go South of the arena and follow the lake until you are beneath the Haven Isle. From there you can jump or phase shift onto a smaller island that is between the mainland and Haven Isle. Use this small stretch of land as a stepping stone and jump again from there to Haven Isle. If you are using a Daemon you can just fly to it from anywhere.

NOTE: You may have to have more than one point in these combat arts in order for you to reach the island, you need to be able to travel at least 15 meters. If you are playing a Wood Elf or Dwarf you won't have any of the above abilities available so you will NEVER be able to reach this island.

What are the icons and what do they do?

The icons are part of a "set" that can be used by all character classes. Unlike the rest of the gear in the game you don't need to "equip" these items to receive their effect, in fact they can not be equipped at all, they just need to be in your backpack. You must have all the icons to receive the set bonus which is the Flaming Feet effect. Flaming feet causes a trail of fire to be left behind where ever you step and it will continue to burn for quite a number of seconds before disappearing. The benefits of this effect are that it will increase the amount of opponents cloned while using the Split modifier and it will also increase the amount of Fireballs that are cast by the Fadalmar's Counsel set bonus. There are a few downfalls to this set however, first the fire does very little damage on it's own and this effect can cause a great amount of lag while playing in multiplayer games. The Icon Set is made up of the following six items:

Dragon Statue
Dark Elf Statue
Grail
Royal Statue
Seraphim Statue
Shell

What are all the skill/attributes quests?

There are a number of quests that can only be done once per difficulty level because the award is skill and/or attribute points. They are:

Bounty Hunt (2 skill and 2 attrib)- starts in Timberton by clicking on the "Wanted" sign in front of the large inn

Freedom for the Haduks (1 skill)- this quest can be found in the Northern part of the Embalmed Forest but this quest will only start for a Battle Mage, Dwarf, Gladiator, Seraphim or Wood Elf.

Free the Slaves (1 skill)- this quest can be found just Southeast of Purgatori in the Fungi Hillock

Intrigues Series (1 skill)- this series starts in the Embalmed Forest just North of Purgatori but this quest will only start for a Daemon, Dark Elf or Vampiress

Remembrance (1 skill)- this quest starts in the Southeastern part of Pirate Island but can only be found in Single Player

The Farmer's First Prank (1 skill and 1 attrib)- this quest starts in a small building on the large bridge in Purgatori

The Missing Brother Series (1 skill)- This quest starts in the Southern Part of Fungi Hillock

The Missing Child (1 skill)- this quest starts in N'Aguali

The Path to Becoming a True Fighter Series (2-6 skill and 2-6 attrib)- this series starts in the Southern part of the Dwarven Ruins

Where are all the dragons or other boss monsters like them?

There are 11 large boss monsters that can be found in multiplayer that are not tied to the Underworld Main Campaign... these can all also be found in single player but some are tied to the Ancarian Main Campaign so there is no use in hunting those ones out

There are 9 dragons (technically 10 but one cannot be fought as he is a good dragon and a quest giver):

Acutami of the Swamps- is in the third level of the abandoned city of Gnarlstat in the Valley of Zhurag-Nar

D'Cay, Lady of the Orcus- is just South of Khorad-Nur

Draconis Mortis- is on a small island East of Faeries Crossing which can be reached by jumping, phase shifting or flying onto the island. Or if you are playing a Wood Elf or Dwarf and don't have those abilities you can take a portal found inside the cave behind Crow's Rock Castle

Frosted Death & Winters Rigor, Ice Dragons- these two are found right next to each other in the Northern most part of the Plains of Tyr-Nadar

Lorinor of Tyr-Fasul- is at the end of a very long path which begins West of Porto Draco and ends West of Tyr-Fasul

Sirithcam, the Fire Dragon- is in a cave past the city of Alkazaba noc Draco, to reach the cave you must go through Alkazaba and across a small section of lava plains

Sisslith, Guardian of Frostgard- is in the Northern most part of Frostgard, to reach this location you must go through the Monastery of the Seraphim and out a broken wall in the back which leads through a small cave of Frost Giants. Once exiting at the end of the cave just follow the path straight to Sisslith.

Sssiliths, the Swamp Dragon- is a short distance directly North of Drakenden

Then there is the Sakkara Demon boss which will spawn if you have already killed D'Cay, Lady of the Orcus, Sirithcam, the Fire Dragon and Sisslith, Guardian of Frostgard:

Ilith'Bah, the Sakkara Demon- this demon will appear after breaking the Demon Horn that can be found in the Northwest corner of the first floor of the dungeon behind Braverock Castle, as noted above the Demon Horn will only appear after you have killed three of the dragons (these are the directions for multiplayer since in single player Ilith'Bah is part of the Main Campaign and you will encounter him in due time)

Lastly there is the Forest God which is part of the Treasure Hunters quests in Gloomoor:

H'Runga'zz, the Forest God- The Treasure Hunters quest begins with a man who is standing on the balcony of the arena at Gloomoor. Killing the Forest God is part of the quests so just follow the quests until you reach that point.

How do I get out of the Dryad Forest?

The Dryad Forest is a very confusing place and lots of people have a real hard time finding the way out...

First you want to go to the Southern part of the Dryad Forest. There you will find a small wooden bridge that leads over to the grassy area beneath the forest. You then want to walk West across this entire area, then North to this location until you find a stone bridge that will lead you to the area just East of Purgatori. From here you can either go all the way West to Purgatori or you can follow the mountains West about half way until you find the path leading up into the mountains of Hell's Ridge.

How do I get through Hell's Ridge to the Large Gate?

Hell's Ridge is another very confusing area with all of it twisting paths that circle back or are dead ends.... therefore many find it very difficult to navigate their way to the cave leading to the Large Gate. I will make this one very easy for you, just follow the path marked by the red line on the image below:

Where is Jacquaire from the Unknown Warrior series?

The Unknown Warrior series is made up of four parts...

The first is Where is the Blacksmith? in Bellevue which can be done at any time before Jacquaire's Revenge it does not effect the series at all until this last part.

As for the parts that must be done in order:

The Unknown Warrior- found at the end of a dead end side path below Tyr-Fasul
Jacquaire's Battle Uniform- found inside the tavern at Braverock Castle
Jacquaire's Revenge- found in Mystdale Castle (there is a small glitch where he may not always be the same spot but he will be INSIDE the city)

There is a very minor glitch in this series which tons of people have trouble with which is why I have listed it in this thread...

Jacquaire does not always appear where he should be to start each new part in the series. There is a very, very simple thing to do that will fix this glitch 99.9% of the time. If you go to his next location and he is not there than go all the way back to where you left him last, then return to where he should be. This should fix the problem and he should now be were he is supposed to be. Simple as that

Help with the True Fighter series...

The Path to Becoming a True Fighter Series is a very lengthy series of quests that end with a great reward, the Book of Wisdom unique item and 2-6 skill and attribute points. Unfortunately the quest flags won't alert you to the locations of each new quest in the series so you have to find them on your own. The series goes in this order:

The Squire- found in the Southern part of the Dwarven Ruins
The Master- found in the Southern part of the Fungi Hillock
The Weapon of Legends- found in the Southwestern part of the Embalmed Forest
The Monster in the Forest- found in the Northwestern part of the Dryad Forest
The Book of Wisdom- found right next to the portal in the Valley of Tears

Like all of the skill/attribute quests this can only be done once per difficulty level therefore you must not mess it up or glitch it or you will be out of luck. The following are the most common issues with this quest:

1) First off DO NOT drop or sell the Weapon of Legends! Yes I know, this little dagger is a really, really junkie weapon. BUT YOU HAVE TO HAVE IT TO COMPLETE THE QUEST! The next step in the series in The Monster in the Forest which entails killing the dreaded Forest Golem and the ONLY thing that can do him ANY damage is the Weapon of Legends. He doesn't not receive damage from any other weapon or any combat arts or spells. Therefore if you lose this junkie weapon all is lost...

2) This series has somewhat of a glitch since you can only do it once per difficulty level... If you get as far as The Weapon of Legends quest than the entire series will not be able to be repeated. Therefore if you are playing in a multiplayer game and you either end up not having time to finish the quest in one sitting or if you get kicked from the after after reaching this point than you will NEVER be able to complete this quest in that difficulty level. So before you begin make sure that you have tons of time to play... depending on your character, your level, what portals you have and how well you know where you are going this series can take up to two hours to complete. Secondly you may want to do this quest either in a private game or in one of the four person servers since they seem to crash less frequently. One last suggestion is having a friend in the game with you... that way if YOU crash but the server itself doesn't you will be able to come back and your friend still being in the game will save your progress.

One last note on this series.... although I am unsure if the latest 2.28 Patch changed this or not so you will have to test it and find out

The number of skill and attribute points you get depends on your last battle with the three Guardians of the Book... If you kill them off one at a time you will only get 2 skill and 2 attribute points. If you are able to kill two simultaneously than you will get 4 skill and 4 attribute points. Lastly if you are able to kill all three at the same time you will get 6 skill and 6 attribute points. So the trick is to use some sort of attack that will damage all three guardians equally at the same time, like Ice Shards (but only if you get them at the right angle).

Where is the Water Bottle at Wyvern Pass?

Wyvern Pass Water Bottle:

Written by: Crackseed

..for whatever reason, the donkey drank it, YOU drank it, an undead drank it and tried to turn into the snowman in all those ****** Iced Tea commercials, for whatever reason, if you cannot find that water bottle, here is how to fix it:

This problem was fixed in the 1.7 patch. Nevertheless, the answer to fix this for some people on prior versions can be read below:

Open the console by hitting the ~ (tilde) key or the ^ key

Type: wasser

This will spawn a water bottle that you can pick up to complete the quest

Please note: The mule has nothing to do with the quest

So no more posts about this right? RIGHT? *wiggles an explosive squirrel* Good! Go play! Shoo!

How do you get into the Braverock Castle, the gate won't open?

There is a small glitch on the gate into Braverock Castle... you must click on it's top right corner for it to open. If you click anywhere else on the door it will not open.

What are the gameboxes or instruments for?

In the game you might come across some random items like different kinds of instruments or things called Gameboxes. Sometimes you can get instruments as parts of quests, they may drop out of chests or they may just randomly drop. The Gameboxes can randomly drop or be found on bookstands.

These items have no known purpose other than they are neat to look at..... they do NOTHING so don't ask.
