Stronger Character

Hi,
Question about how to beef up my archer. When I play my Fire HE I know that wearing jewelry and wearing armor with fire stats will beef up the damage output. A basic no brainer. So what is the rule of thumb for archers? Would just wearing all poison or all magic base jewelry and armor cause all damage stat output on the arrows?

Hi and Welcome!

If you want to go fully ranged, using Detheya's Set is a must as it's develloped for rangers.
You can increase your damage and resistances by using the blacksmith arts giving better attack and defence ratings. (I believe I have a 50 / 50 setting for that) Any remaining slots you can full up with jewelry giving better attack and defence as well.
Use rings giving higher damage - personal preference: +X% physical - in your bows. Whenever possible, try to find rings giving +Y LL as well. A full Detheya's set gives LL as well, thus making your char almost invunerable.

Best choices of extra damage are fire and ice, although occasionally (like with the G'C and a few dragons) poison helps as well.

And finally: Make sure you got one or two slots equiped with throwing stars / daggers and a shield. You'll need those to get extra protection in case the mobs get too close.
Another thing you might do is picking bargaining as skill - however you do need 5 points spent in EP for that - and buy the good armor and - more important! - weapons while journeying through Ancaria.

Thanks Thorin for the reply. Seeing I play on 360 tI hear blacksmith is broken. Yet I will make sure to get Deth armor and physical damage jewls to weapons as you stated.

BTW, never trust the so-called "similar" threads below. The software merely matches all threads against the words in this thread's title, "stronger" and "character." CURSES! Two are about Sacred One, where the dryad isn't even a playable class.
