Now my report.
So i updated my game to 2.43. But the issue remains the same.
The beam animation keeps following the target all the time but the damage seems to be as if the beam is not moving (or at least not like the animation beam is).
Oftentimes though enemies will instantly run towards you (or stand still in case of ranged enemies) once you hit them with the beam and they are on medium or close range.
That will of course cause them to recieve damage 4-5 times (since they stay withing the initial area of effect of the beam). This is one of the reasons i at first thought the beam was working appropriately.
But things change when you target moving enemies on very long range, or when playing multiplayer or with compainions (since then enemies will run towards them as well, rather then only to you)
In both cases they will run out of the initial AoE and will not take more then 1-2 times the damage.
the funny thing though is, that if another enemy steps inside of the initial AoE withing the 3 seconds duration, he will recieve damage from the beam even thought the beam animation is somewhere completely different.
Is that the case in your game as well? Or does Archimedes Beam hit targest 5 times even when they are running sidesways away from you? (i deinstalled my whole game downloaded all the patches new and installed it on two differnt computers but allway got the same results)
