Long lost activation key =(

hello, i'm not sure where else to ask this. but i bought this game way back when it came out. and have since gone through many hard drive upgrades and replacements, so obviously the game is no longer installed.

i just got finished reinstalling it after like 2 years when it poped up with the 'enter your activation key' thing. i have absolutely no idea where the manual is.. i've had a rather bad habit of losing these things with other games (**** you sims 3!)..

so, is there any way i can recover my key or anything?

Recommeded you back up serial keys on a separate storage medium such as a usb flash drive.
